Privacy and Location
The location of Funhouse is only shared once you are hired.
This protects the anonymity and safety of both clients and workers. We take privacy seriously, and we look out for one another — including respecting each person’s preference for discretion.
I want to discuss this with my friends. Is that advised?
Discretion and Privacy
This is a very personal decision, and my honest advice is to move carefully.
In my many years of experience as a Madam, I have unfortunately seen situations where new sex workers have been “outed” or had their privacy compromised by people they trusted.
For that reason, I often suggest keeping this information close until you feel fully confident in your decision and comfortable with how you want to share it — if at all.
Sex work isn’t for everyone, but if you decide this is the right path for you, it should always be your choice how private or public that journey becomes.
If you join Funhouse, you’ll find that the other women here are thoughtful, supportive sounding boards. Many have navigated these same questions themselves and understand the realities of discretion, judgement, and personal boundaries.
My advice is to give yourself time to settle in, build confidence, and gain experience in a safe, well-supported environment. Most women quickly realise that the reality of professional sex work is very different from the assumptions the general public often holds.
You deserve the space to make this decision on your own terms.
What if I know the client?
Funhouse has an intercom system so you can see the client before letting them in.
In the rare event you recognise someone, you don’t need to interact with them — Madam Mary will step in immediately. Everyone will be kept safe and private.
What hours do I have to work each week?
You choose your hours — we work on call.
Each week, Mary will check in and ask what days and times you’d like to be available. You set your schedule.
Show me the money
All income from extras (beyond the standard service rate) goes directly to you.
Many workers take home around 75% of the booking total, with the remainder covering advertising and operating costs.
Escorting vs Sugaring
If you’re considering sugaring for extra income, it’s important to understand that it is still sex work — often without the protections of an agency.
Some realities of sugaring:
- Many “sugar daddies” seek arrangements because escorts and agencies enforce boundaries they don’t want to respect
- You may be expected to invest significant time for relatively low return
- Sex is often expected, sometimes without protection
- You may have little support, advice, or safety backup
If you choose this path, the NZPC offers excellent resources and support.
What if I don't want to do full service?
Your Body = Your Rules.
You can choose to offer massage only, or massage plus full service, or other specialties. Different women are comfortable with different offerings, and all boundaries are respected.
What if I am not very experienced with sex?
That’s completely okay. Many women start out unsure.
We provide basic guidance, training, and support around safe, confident, consensual intimacy. When you first begin, you will only see clients that Mary knows and trusts.
Questions are always welcome — nothing is too small or embarrassing.
What if I don't want to see a client again?
You don’t have to.
You can say no to any booking, at any time, for any reason. Sex work should never feel pressured or unsafe, and we will always support your decisions.
What if I can't afford new lingerie for photos?
Don’t worry. Many women start with very little.
We have outfits available in emergencies, and once you’ve had your first payout, you can build your wardrobe over time.
Inexpensive is fine — but matching is required.
What if I feel unwell or my availability changes?
Your wellbeing comes first.
If you feel unwell or plans change, let Mary know as soon as possible. Open communication is key, and your health is always the priority.
Will I have to deal with drunk or high clients?
No. Clients must be coherent and respectful to book.
If anyone arrives intoxicated or inappropriate, Mary will ask them to leave immediately.
How old do I need to be to apply?
You must be 18 or older, with valid ID for your meeting.
Do I have to “audition”?
Absolutely not.
There is no testing or anything creepy — just a conversation over coffee. Mary looks for a combination of warmth, empathy, confidence, and charisma.
A lot of sex work is communication, not performance.
What if I want tattoos, piercings, or dyed hair?
You are welcome to express yourself however you choose.
Some clients do have preferences, and Mary can guide you honestly on what tends to book best within our niche — but there is no single “look” required.
What if I’m not female or femme-presenting?
Funhouse has worked with a range of gender-diverse providers in the past.
That said, our current clientele primarily book feminine-presenting companions. If you’re unsure whether Funhouse is the right fit, please reach out — Mary is happy to offer guidance, and NZPC can also help connect you with inclusive options.
What if my photos aren't professional quality?
Application photos can be taken on your phone, as long as they are clear and recent.
If your application is successful, we have a resident photographer and the shoot will be comfortable, respectful, and safe.
How do I apply?
Head to the Apply page and send:
- Recent photos
- A short description of yourself
- Your age and contact details
- Any tattoos or significant marks
- Whether you live in Wellington or elsewhere
Your confidentiality will be fully respected. Everything submitted is seen only by Madam Mary.
